IFCA RANCH RODEO RULES
Entry fee is $ 200.00.
Every contestant must be entered in at least 1 or more roping at the Finals.
A contestant may not be on more than 2 teams.
Each team will consist of 4 members, and every member will compete in all events.
One team member must be a female, a Jr (14 and under) or over the age of 55.
Each region may enter 3 teams.
One team may consist of Directors.
If a region does not enter 3 teams, another region may enter a team in that spot.
There will be a 2 minute time limit.
Teams will be called 3 times, if they are not in the arena they will receive a no time.
Entries are due the same date as Finals entries.
EVENTS
Any animal crossing back over the sort line, will be a NO TIME
TEAM SORTING - Teams must sort out 3 numbered animals in order from a given number. Drive animals to the other end of arena and return to the Start-Finish line to call time.
TRAILER LOADING - Teams will sort given numbered animal from herd, only their animal may cross the sort line. Load it in the trailer. Must close the tailgate on the trailer, and all team members MUST be mounted and return to the Start-Finish line to call for time.
DOUBLE MUGGING - Teams will sort numbered animal from the herd, rope and throw the animal by hand, tie three legs. All team members must be mounted and return to the Start-Finish line to call for time. Animal must remained tied for 6 seconds.
TEAM BRANDING - Teams sort out numbered animal from herd, head and heel, the steer. Brander runs on foot to the animal, brands on RIB and then returns iron to bucket. Remove ropes and return steer to herd and all members must be horseback and at start-finish line.
If time allows we will have a bunkhouse race
All team members will unsaddle and tie their horses on the opposite side of the arena. They will remove their boots, and all team members will lie down and be covered with a tarp. To start the race all team members will put on their boots cross the arena and saddle their own horse. They will mount their horse and make a lap around the arena; Time is called when the last member crosses the line.
